Consciously working with wood: FSC and PEFC| Many of our products are made from wood originating from properly-managed forests, forests which have been granted certification by independent institutions in accordance with the regulations laid down by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) or the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC). We are always very closely involved in the appropriate management of the tree-felling operations to ensure that everyone can enjoy the natural charm of wood without detriment to nature. Wood sourced from forests which are managed in the appropriate manner is a completely renewable raw material. For this reason we select our suppliers with great care. |
![]() | FSC certification (cert. no. CU-COC-014189)The FSC, the Forest Stewardship Council, is an international organization which promotes responsible forest management. The FSC draws up worldwide standards for forest management which are then linked to a seal of approval. Forest owners who comply with the FSC standards can receive certification for their forests; independent inspectors verify compliance with the regulations. |
![]() | PEFC certification (Cert. no. PEFC/COC-0245)The PEFC Council is an independent non-profit organization which promotes the independent certification of forests. This involves a review as to whether the forests are managed in an environmentally-friendly, socially-advantageous and economic manner. The PEFC, the world's biggest forest-certification system, offers an extremely useful means of combating illegal tree felling. |
